Help: RP170 - Please enter a valid combination of personnel area and subarea error in LSMW, but not in manual hire

Heya,

I hope that there is someone out there who can offer me some help.

I am implementing SAP HCM and OM for a client. I am using LSMW batch recording for loading in their OM structure from Legacy data.

My problem is as follows:

I load in OrgUnits with a personnel area

Then I load in Positions with a personnel Subarea (and let it iherit the personnel area from the related OrgUnit).

Then I run RHINTE10 and RHINTE20 to integrate PA/OM

An then attempt to load in employees on the positions, using a PA40 LSMW.

However it fails with the error: 

RP170 - Please enter a valid combination of personnel area and subarea

However in PPOME the position has indeed a valid combo of Personnel Area and SubArea. And to make matters worse; If I run the exact same PA40 action manually, then it finds the correct values by just entering the position ID, and completes succesfully.

A few months ago the exact same procedure worked...so something someone did in the system has caused this.

Have you any idea what the matter could be?
