I have an equipment in status ESTO which is linked to serialized material and a batch number.
somehow, it is not so clear how, someone changed the material linked to it (tab SerData) but the batch number was left unchanged.
we are trying to do a GR for this material which of course, causes system errors or complains as the combination of this material/serial n°/ batch does not exist.
So I tried to change the material and/or the batch number in the equipment but I receive a system message stating that the batch for the material (both in the equipment master) does not exist (which is correct) but the bottom line is that the fields of material and batch remain grey and not editable.
I tried the edit/manual transaction, edit change material but to no avail: i get the same message!
how can i change the batch in the equipment master?
