We are planning to implement Repetitive manufacturing process, i.e. creating planned orders and no production orders to simplify the production confirmation process and also it suits our production environment.
What business is planning to get out of production execution is they should be able to know what they need to produce for the day & then if we run three shifts/day to manufacture the product then for each shift, when they do the production confirmation, users are going to key the actual activity times.
So we are trying to get to shift efficiency by comparing the standard activity times from routing to the actual activity times.
Based on what i have seen so far, i am not sure if Repetitive manufacturing will provide this information, reason being there is no production order and then everything is captured at product cost collector at period basis (i.e. monthly). I couldn't figure out if we can even do this with REM process.
Any ideas if we can obtain the above functionality via REM manufacturing or do we have to go with discreet/ process manufacturing where we have production orders?
