price difference account as cost element

Hi all

We are going to settle the differences for production to CO-PA. The flag "variance to Costing-based PA" is set on the settlement profile. There, the GL-account for differences from production (PRD/PRF) must not be set up as a cost element. This works perfectly for S-price-driven materials.

For V-price driven materials, we face the following problem:

  • As long, as the stock is covered, there is no problem, because all differences go to the stock account
  • when the stock is not covered (not enough quantity on stock), the differences are booked to the P&L. The account is the same as for production differences (PRD/PRF). In this case, no CO-PA document is created. This means, that in this constellation we face the problem, that the costs are correctly booked in the FI-module, but are missing in CO / CO-PA.

Has anybody an idea how to solve? Thanks.
